"We are something like a matchmaker for farmers - we bring customers and land together," says Managing Director Andreas Eßer with a grin. The graduate forestry engineer (FH) has been working at Greif & Meyer GmbH since 2007. Of course, there is a lot more behind the joking statement. The brokerage of agricultural and forestry real estate is extremely complex and requires a great deal of experience as well as extensive specialist knowledge. Greif & Meyer is a leading specialist broker in this field.
The company was founded in 1997, but its origins go back further. The company Greif & Contzen Immobilien has been based in Cologne since 1978. One of the founders had a connection to agriculture. The "green" business was also managed there from the very beginning. With the founding of Greif & Meyer GmbH, the decision was made to outsource the brokerage of agricultural and forestry real estate. To this day, Greif & Contzen successfully concentrates on the classic real estate business in the Rhineland metropolitan area. The cooperation within the company group as well as a supra-regional network with private banks, tax consultants, lawyers and experts for the specialized agricultural and forestry sector continues...
